The committee is empowered to propose JCR motions and to negotiate with the
College authorities on the basis of mandates from the JCR, and on the discretion
of its members on behalf of the JCR. The role of each committee member is defined in the constitution.

JCR President: James BlytheThe JCR President shall:
- Chair the meetings of the JCR
- Oversee the work of the JCR committee
- Represent the JCR on College and University committees
- Ensure that this constitution is adhered to

- Support the work of the JCR President
- Take and keep the minutes of JCR meetings
- Answer the JCR mail and send out e-mail notices
- Be in charge of all aspects of the common room itself
- Lead the JCR committee in organising the garden party in trinity term
- Represent the JCR in college meetings

Treasurer: Hannah SmithThe Treasurer shall:
- Keep the accounts of the JCR funds not under another officer's care
- Present an annual financial report and budget by the beginning of Hilary term (after his term as treasurer has finished) as prescribed in para. c) of this Constitution
- Make all payments mandated by the JCR
- Take responsibility for the booking of punts in Trinity term
- Run the JCR schemes for the Punt Club JCR Garden Party & Key Insurance
- Represent the JCR in college meetings

Ball President: Jeremy ChiewThe Ball President shall:
- Prepare a comprehensive business plan in Michaelmas term for a ball to be held in the Hilary or Trinity term after s/he is elected
- Present this business plan to the Bursar and the Governing Body in Michaelmas term seeking their approval and permission for the ball to go ahead
- If the governing body should give their permission:
- Be responsible for running and organising the Brasenose Ball
- Organise a ball committee and chair this committee
- Report on ball proceedings in both JCR Committee and plenary meetings
- Prepare a written report by 1st week of Michaelmas term after the ball about the job for the use of the next Ball President

Academic and Library Rep: Alexander BlackwellThe Academic and Library Rep shall:
- Attend meetings of College Academic committee
- Handle academic issues in the College - advising and assisting students if the need arise
- Supervise and coordinate student feedback
- Attend Library Meetings

Admissions and Access Rep: Bethan RoddenThe Admissions and Access Rep shall:
- Promote the image of Brasenose College to target schools
- Attend meetings of the College Admissions committee
- Help organise school visits and College Open Days
- Help organise hosts for interviewees in Michaelmas term
- Organise Freshers' week with the help of the Entz Rep

Arts Rep, Arts Festival Organiser and Arts Fund Manager: Maria FleischerThe Arts Rep, Arts Festival Organiser and Arts Fund Manager shall:
- Organise the Arts festival in 3rd week of Trinity term
- Chair and organise the Arts committee and manage the arts fund
- Organise the Arts Dinner in Hilary Term
- Inform and help the Freshers in their Cuppers Drama application
- Sit on the Music Society Committee
- Promote Arts issues in college

- Promote general charitable issues and organise charitable events in the College
- Attend meetings of the OUSU charities committee and promote their RAG events in College
- Manage the charities fund as outlined in Appendix C

- Environment and Ethics committee as outlined in Appendix E

- Meet regularly with the Accommodation Manager Domestic Bursar and Catering Manager
- Act on domestic and food complaints and suggestions from the JCR
- Organise JCR Guest dinners and halfway hall
- Help organise out of term storage

- Manage the entertainments fund
- Provide events for the amusement of all students at the College. These events will include Brasenose Bops events in the College Bar and the Christmas Party

- Liaise with club promoters around Oxford and provide optional discounted tickets for clubbing to Brasenose students

- Empty any recycling bins provided in College and Frewin by the JCR on a regular basis
- Fulfil the requirements set out in Appendix E

- Maintain and run the JCR website
- Liaise with paid student computer technicians

- Represent the JCR on the OUSU Council
- Report OUSU activities to the JCR and in particular publicise OUSU Council Agenda and Minutes
- Liaise with the OUSU over matters regarding Brasenose College JCR's affiliation to the NUS
- Propose a motion to consider the JCR's affiliation to OUSU and NUS in the JCR meeting in 5th week of Trinity Term
- Maintain the careers noticeboard and help organise careers events in college
- Act as returning officer for any election of the Officers of the JCR in accordance with clause c) of Appendix B

- Monitor provisions for welfare within the College
- Organise an equalities/ pastoral committee
