Information for Freshers

Freshers' Guide

The Freshers' Guide, In The Nose, is now available online (Word document, 140kb).

College Parents

Every one of you should have received letters from your College Parents, the people who are there to help acclimatise you to Oxford in the first couple of weeks of term. On the whole, one of your college parents will be doing your subject too, which means that you can always talk to them if you have any problems or questions regarding your work. You will meet your College Parents on the first day you arrive in Oxford, where they will introduce themselves to you in person, show you to your room, and help you carry your things there too.

Welfare

Coming to University can be a daunting prospect yet students at Brasenose are lucky to have a superabundance of welfare support available to them if they are experiencing any difficulties. You will have the chance to meet the student welfare team on Friday morning, but both the College and University Welfare Teams are of course available at any time. For more information, see Section 6 of our Freshers' Guide, In The Nose (Word document, 140kb).

Please remember that free condoms can be found in the Laundry (bottom of Staircase 13) and in the toilets next to the JCR.
